Digital Experience Group
The Digital Experience Group, or DXG, is a branch of University Communications at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL). Here, I work as a front-end apprentice. This apprenticeship involves designing new sites and applications for UNL's website, updating outdated pages to a new framework, and produce website assets.
Council on Inclusive Excellence and Diversity
I was asked to optimize portraits for web and align them onto a page following a grid template layout. The names, title, program/ college, and email were designed accordingly to avoid overwhelming users with information.
Overall, this page was to challenge my ability to code the site mobile-first and understand the importance of CSS grid.

University Top Level Redesign
The objective of this ongoing project was to design webpages that follow current trends to attract users. Following color compliant rules and accessibility edge cases, the design needed to be clean and flow smoothly as the user moves down the page. This new design is to be launched next year.
I worked with another apprentice to assist in redesigning web pages while following the university’s brand identity. Because of this, I have a better grasp of web design through the use of HTML, CSS, and Adobe xD for the prototyping process.
Diversity Reports and Analysis: Special Report
On the Office of Diversity and Inclusion page, Marco Barker released a statement that guided UNL’s path to inclusive excellence. I was tasked to turn the PDF into a webpage with the appropriate infographics and section headings. The sections were then turned into a small navigation towards the top of the page.
